01 Agreement

These terms apply to every session, package and offer provided by Jaypstudios, an Ottawa, Ontario photography and video studio, and to your use of jaypstudios.ca. By booking a session or using this website you agree to them.

02 Bookings and retainers

A date is reserved once we have received your signed quote or confirmation and the retainer stated in it. Retainers are non-refundable because they hold your date and exclude other bookings. The remaining balance is due on or before the session date unless your quote says otherwise.

03 Rescheduling and cancellations

You may reschedule once at no charge with at least 48 hours notice, subject to availability. Outdoor sessions affected by weather are rescheduled at no charge. Cancellations forfeit the retainer; any additional payments are refunded less costs already incurred on your behalf.

04 Your session

Please arrive on time. Late arrivals reduce the available session time and may affect the number of final images. We may end a session early if conditions become unsafe or if anyone behaves in a way that puts people or equipment at risk.

05 Delivery

Preview galleries and final images are delivered through a private online gallery within the timeline stated in your quote. The number of final images is set by your package. Unedited or RAW files are not provided, and we ask that delivered images are not re-edited or filtered.

06 Copyright and licence

Jaypstudios retains copyright in all photographs and films we create. Clients receive a licence to print, share and enjoy their images for personal use. Business and branding clients receive the commercial licence described in their package, which covers use on their own websites, social media and marketing. Reselling images or granting rights to third parties requires our written consent.

07 Portfolio use

We may use images and film from your session to show our work on our website, social media and printed materials. If you would prefer we did not, let us know in writing before your session and we will respect that.

08 Limitation of liability

We take great care with every session and keep multiple backups. If images are lost or cannot be delivered because of equipment failure, illness or events beyond our control, our liability is limited to a reshoot where practical or a refund of the amounts paid for the affected session.

09 Pricing and taxes

All prices are in Canadian dollars and are subject to applicable taxes. Prices and offers may change, but a confirmed quote will be honoured for your booking.
